Terms of Use
Last updated 25 September 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of this website, our online application system, and the Harvest Bible University student/staff portal (together, the "Services"), operated by Harvest Teaching Ministries on behalf of Harvest Bible University, Kampala, Uganda. By submitting an application, creating an account, or otherwise using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.
2. Eligibility and applications
Anyone may apply to Harvest Bible University regardless of location, subject to any programme-specific entry requirements published by the Registry. Submitting an application does not guarantee admission. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information and documents you submit; providing false or misleading information (including forged documents) is grounds for rejecting an application or, if discovered after enrollment, for dismissal without a refund.
3. Your account and the portal
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
- The portal is provided for your personal, non-commercial use in connection with your studies or work at Harvest Bible University only.
- We may suspend or terminate portal access for a serious breach of these Terms, academic misconduct, non-payment of fees, or as required by law.
4. Fees, payments and refunds
Published tuition and fee amounts are set and updated by Harvest Bible University from time to time. Online payments are processed through our third-party payment processor (Pesapal); by paying online you also agree to that processor's own terms. The following refund terms apply unless a specific written agreement with you says otherwise:
- Application fees are non-refundable once your application has been submitted and processed, whether or not you are admitted.
- Tuition and programme fees paid before a term/intake begins are refundable in full, less any non-refundable application or administrative fee already incurred.
- Withdrawal within the first two weeks of a term/intake starting: 75% of tuition paid for that term is refundable.
- Withdrawal after the first two weeks of a term/intake: fees paid for that term are non-refundable, as teaching resources have already been committed.
- Overpayments or duplicate payments made in error are always refundable in full — contact the Finance office to arrange this.
- Approved refunds are paid back through the same method used to pay, where possible, within a reasonable time after approval.
To request a refund, contact the Finance office using the details on our Privacy Policy page or through the portal's Helpdesk.
5. Academic policies
Grading, examinations, supplementary/retake assessments, graduation requirements, and academic conduct are governed by Harvest Bible University's academic policies as communicated to students through the Registry and the portal, which may be updated from time to time as academic policy evolves. These Terms don't replace those policies; where the two overlap, the specific academic policy in force at the time controls.
6. Intellectual property
Course materials, recorded lectures, assessments, and this website's own content (text, logos, design) are the property of Harvest Bible University/Harvest Teaching Ministries or their licensors, and are provided for your personal study use only. You may not copy, redistribute, or publish them without our written permission, except as reasonable for your own coursework.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Services to harass, impersonate, or infringe the rights of anyone else;
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to another user's account or to our systems;
- Upload malicious code, or interfere with the normal operation of the Services;
- Use the public document-verification feature to harvest or scrape records at scale.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided "as is." While we work to keep them accurate and available, we don't guarantee they will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent permitted by Ugandan law, Harvest Bible University and Harvest Teaching Ministries are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the Services; nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Services will first be addressed through good-faith discussion with the Registry or Finance office, and if unresolved, is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Uganda, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have where you live.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above shows when. Continuing to use the Services after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
